Foredom of America are recognised by professional carvers worldwide as the leading authority in the design and manufacture of powered carving systems. This kit featues Foredom's new SR 1/6hp, ball bearing, hang-up style motor with speeds up to 18,000 rpm. This motor offers substantially more torque power than any of Foredom's other motors and operates in forward and reverse rotation for added versatility. In place of wound fields, it is made with the most advanced rare earth magnets that offer more torque throughout the entire speed range than standard universal motors of the same size. Fitted to the base of the motor is an extra long 35" heavy duty flexible shaft and sheath that allows for improved workpiece access and offers extremely smooth rotation.The polished steel No 44T handpiece runs on sealed prelubricated ball bearings offering vibration free rotation. Tapered at the end for optimum grip, balance and control the handpiece is supplied with three precision machined collets (3/32",1/8" and 1/4") and wrench and pin for fast bit changeover.The extra wide electronic foot operated control varies the rotaional speed of the unit leaving both hands free to hold the workpiece and carve.Supplied with motor , flexible shaft, handpiece , safety glasses and a 47 piece carvers bit set & holder and a 3 disc DVD.
